Leaders from Sinotruk Group Visit Europe to Research the Development of New Energy Commercial Vehicles

From September 7 to 16, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited Sweden, Romania, and Germany, where he toured leading enterprises and technology companies such as Scania, Decade, Einride, MHS, and Meiller to conduct on-site research into the latest developments in Europe’s new energy commercial vehicle industry chain.

  On September 8, Wang Zhijian held discussions with Christian Levin, CEO of Chuantuo Group and Scania Group. They engaged in in-depth discussions on the global development of commercial vehicles and trends in the transition to new energy. Both sides expressed their commitment to upholding the philosophy of “co-competition,” deepening exchanges and cooperation in cutting-edge technologies, green transformation, and global markets, and jointly promoting the green and high-quality development of the global commercial vehicle industry.

  Decade Energy is a European provider of charging solutions for electric heavy-duty trucks. On September 8, Wang Zhijian visited Decade and held discussions with Carl-Magnus Norden, the company’s chairman and co-founder, focusing on the requirements of European fleet operators, infrastructure, and service networks. Both parties expressed their commitment to collaborating on the development of electric heavy-duty truck solutions tailored to local operations in the European market.

  Einride is a Swedish technology company specializing in electric and autonomous freight transportation. On September 9, Wang Zhijian visited Einride and held talks with CEO Roozbeh Charli, discussing operational models for all-electric fleet transport services. Both parties look forward to leveraging their respective strengths to explore cooperation opportunities in areas such as autonomous electric heavy-duty trucks and charging infrastructure development within the European context, and to jointly create sustainable smart freight solutions.

  MHS is one of the largest commercial vehicle dealership groups in Central and Eastern Europe and a strategic partner of Sinotruk. On September 10, Wang Zhijian visited MHS and held discussions with founder Michael Schmidt. Both parties noted that Sinotruk possesses mature high-end product capabilities, a comprehensive spare parts market, and a robust service system, making it fully suited to the development needs of the European high-end market. They expressed hope to deepen their strategic cooperation and jointly develop the European commercial vehicle market.

  Meiller is a leading European manufacturer of specialized bodywork for engineering vehicles. On September 11, Wang Zhijian visited the Meiller factory and held discussions with CEO Michael Stomberg, focusing on the European market for specialized engineering vehicles and the development of new energy specialized vehicles.
