Leaders of Sinotruk Group Inspect Resumption of Work and Production and Extend Their Regards to Frontline Employees

From February 21 to 23, Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, conducted research visits to Weichai and Sinotruk to inspect the resumption of work and production during the Spring Festival period, as well as safety production efforts. He extended sincere greetings and New Year blessings to employees working on the front lines of domestic and international markets, including those on overseas fronts as far as Ghana in West Africa. He emphasized the need to anchor efforts on “taking the lead and shouldering major responsibilities,” urging all to pursue production, ensure deliveries, and enhance quality and efficiency with full enthusiasm and solid work ethic. This drive aims to achieve a strong start in the first quarter and propel high-quality development to new heights in 2026.

On February 21, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Wang Zhijian first visited Weichai's high-end heavy-duty engine smart manufacturing plant. He gained detailed insights into market order organization, process quality control, and lean production practices, engaging in cordial discussions with master technicians and frontline production staff. He acknowledged their hard work in maintaining operations and fulfilling orders during the holiday period, urging them to sustain their passion for excellence and uphold the spirit of craftsmanship to deliver high-quality products efficiently to customers. He emphasized seizing the opportunity of being selected for the national flagship smart factory cultivation list to build a globally benchmark engine factory based on digital-intelligent lean models.

Subsequently, Wang visited the construction site of Weichai Power's high-end power equipment manufacturing base, the foundry, and the large-bore engine plant. Currently, global data center power demand is experiencing explosive growth, with Weichai's power generation products enjoying robust market orders and strong future prospects. He emphasized seizing opportunities, accelerating progress, and advancing the large-bore high-end engine project to meet global market demands, thereby strengthening and expanding the strategic power energy business segment.

On February 23, Wang Zhijian inspected China National Heavy Duty Truck Group's Jinan Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Company. He reviewed global order volumes, new energy production line upgrades, and supply chain logistics support, while examining new heavy-duty truck models on-site. During the visit, he paid particular attention to the achievements in developing key overseas markets like Africa. In recent years, Sinotruk has made significant strides in the Ghanaian market—through partners like distributor ZONDA, the company has not only established an assembly plant locally but also transitioned from simple exports to deep integration into the local economy. Following the launch of the second-phase assembly plant in Tema, employment at the company has doubled, while also generating substantial indirect jobs, establishing a model for China-Africa industrial capacity cooperation. Furthermore, regular training programs for Ghanaian drivers and maintenance personnel have effectively enhanced vehicle operational efficiency, earning the “SINOTRUK” brand a strong reputation in the African market.

Wang Zhijian emphasized that Sinotruk must further increase investment in smart manufacturing, building world-class competitiveness in product technology, quality, cost, and service. This will ensure a leading edge in the commercial vehicle new energy transition and forge brand reputation amid rapid international market growth. The company must continuously consolidate its leading position in West African markets like Ghana, seize opportunities from the continent's urbanization and industrialization, and elevate heavy truck exports from product delivery to technology and brand export. During the current peak production period, the company must resolutely prioritize and implement safety production measures, provide thoughtful and caring support to employees, and solidify the foundation for high-quality development.
